The Southern Kentucky Choral Society and WKU Chorale spend four days in New York, culminating in a performance at Carnegie Hall on Monday, June 14.
Led by Dr. Paul Hondorp, the group performed Mozart’s Requiem, with a renowned guest conductor, the professional New York City Chamber Orchestra and esteemed soloists.
Meeting the singers in NYC was the first set of adventurers from the Society for Lifelong Learning, who also spent four days in New York City.
The group (pictured here left to right) included Diana Howard, coordinator of the program, and lifelong learners Patricia Fitzherbert, Lynn O’Keefe, Barbara Johnston, Vicki Gregory, and Judith Tabor.
They toured key sites in New York to gain a better appreciation and understanding of the Big Apple. Learn more about the Society for Lifelong Learning.
These credit and non-credit learning opportunities are offered by WKU’s Office of Study Away.
