Cuba 2012 – Faculty-Led Study Abroad

Professor Walker Rutledge and I completed a short site visit to Havana from August 19 to 23.  Rutledge received funding from Potter College, English dept, and Office of International Programs.  We spent a whirlwind two and half days on the ground, checking out the sites and sounds that will be key elements in the Honors Colloquium to take place in Winter Term 2013.

At this point, the plan is for 12 to 14 students to be joined by 8-10 American Travelers on the two-week program.  The noncredit group includes President Ransdell and Julie Ransdell, along with other members of the campus community.

We’re brushing up on our Spanish and converting our US dollars to other currencies.
