Dual Credit Enrollment Provides Boost to University's Overall Growth

For the 14th consecutive year enrollment at WKU has set a new record, at 21,048 this academic year. A significant reason for this year’s growth in the university’s enrollment is the growth in the enrollment of the Dual Credit Program. University provost Dr. Gordon Emslie has referred to the growth in the program’s enrollment, of high school students taking university courses, as an important element in the enrollment of the university at large. Several university officials have stated that if there wasn’t growth in the dual credit student population then the university’s enrollment at large would not have grown this academic year.
